You type.
AI guesses.
Nobody wins.

You open ChatGPT. You type something in. What comes back is generic, stiff, and nothing like what you actually needed. So you try again. Same result.

Here's the truth: it's not the AI's fault. The AI is working completely blind. It doesn't know who you are, what you need, who you're writing for, or what "good" looks like to you.

Once you know what to give it — everything changes. That's exactly what this cheatsheet teaches you in 60 seconds.

The six parts
of a prompt
that works.

01  ·  Role

Role

What expert lens should the AI use?

Don't just name a job title. Choose the type of thinking you need — strategist, editor, coach, or teacher. The more specific, the better.

"Act as a [type of expert] who helps [your audience]..." → See the full formula inside

02  ·  Context

Context

What does the AI need to know first?

Give it your situation, audience, goal, and what you've already tried. Context stops the AI from guessing — and guessing badly.

"Here's my situation, my audience, and what I've already tried..." → The detail that stops generic answers

03  ·  Task

Task

What exact result do you want?

Start with a strong verb. Define the outcome, not just the action. "Help me with emails" is not a task. "Write a welcome email that does X" is.

"Write [specific outcome] that [condition]..." → Strong verbs change everything. See examples inside

04  ·  Format

Format

How should the answer be delivered?

Tell it the length, structure, tone, and layout. Without this, AI picks a default — and the default is usually too long and too formal.

"Give me [structure] in [length] with [tone]..." → The most skipped part. See how inside

05  ·  Constraints

Constraints

What should the AI avoid?

This is where your taste lives. Tell it what NOT to do — jargon, fake urgency, specific words, salesy tone. Constraints protect your voice.

"Never use [word list]. Avoid [tone]. Protect [your voice]..." → Your guardrails. Full list inside

06  ·  Examples

Examples

What should the output feel like?

One good example beats 100 words of explanation. Show the AI a line, a tone, or a style you love — and it can match it instantly.

"Good: [style you love]. Avoid: [style you hate]..." → One line that trains the AI's taste. See it inside

One page.
Everything you need.

  • ✓ All 6 parts explained — each with a plain-language description so you know exactly what to include and why
  • ✓ A real example for every part — not generic examples, but ones written for your actual situation as a beginner
  • ✓ A Pro Tip inside each section — the one extra thing that makes that part of the prompt work even harder
  • ✓ A before-and-after comparison — see exactly what a weak prompt looks like vs. a strong one side by side
  • ✓ Designed to keep beside you — one page you print out or keep open while you work, not a course to finish

Weak prompt.
Strong prompt.

This is what changes when you use the framework. Same topic — completely different result.

✗   Weak prompt

"Give me YouTube ideas about AI."

Result: 10 generic titles you could have Googled. Nothing specific to you, your channel, or your audience.

✓   Strong prompt

"Act as a [role]. Give me [specific output] for [your audience]. [Format]. [Constraints]." → Download the cheatsheet to see the full version with all 6 parts filled in.

Result: 10 specific, usable ideas written for your exact audience and style.

This is for you
if...

  • You've tried AI but keep getting generic or unhelpful answers
  • You're a beginner who wants a simple starting point — not a course
  • You feel like AI is useful for other people but never quite works for you
  • You want something you can reference every time you open ChatGPT
  • You're curious about AI but don't know where to start
